Pick-Up Cap and Gowns Orders (Tuesday April 12th):
Seniors can pick up their cap and gown orders April 12th at lunch and after school. A representative will also be on campus to take new orders.

If your seniors misses the pickup day they can go to Ms. Aichinger in the Principals Office Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 3:45 pm with the last day to do so being Friday May 27th. If you have any questions please email saichinger@syvuhsd.org

Senior Car Decoration ( Monday May 16th):
Optional, but really fun for the seniors to see what parents have done to their cars
Suggestions: window paint, balloons, banners, college colors
Between 8:00am – 9:15am (first period)
Flex Day, (Monday, May 16th)
· School dismissed at 12:10pm for all students
Senior Class of 2022 Parade (Monday May 16th, 1:00 - From SYHS to Riverview Park)
This is not a School Sponsored event, therefore, it will not be supervised by school staff.
Line up in the school parking lot at 12:30pm, depart at 1:00pm.
Route will be: Leave from SYHS, turn right towards Solvang, continue to Buellton. End at Riverview Park.
Seniors may drive themselves or have an adult drive for them so they can wave. Other family members, siblings, or friends may ride with a driving senior, if the senior has been licensed long enough to allow for passengers.
ALL laws and rules of the road are to be followed..ie. NO hanging out windows, NO riding on top of cars…etc.

Senior Scholarship Night (Wednesday May 18th):
Students with scholarships will be recognized
This event may be combined with the Senior Awards Assembly held on May 20th circumstances depending

Baccalaureate (Sunday, May 22nd):

Senior Breakfast (May 26th):
Chair:
Students will receive a bagged breakfast before they board the bus to go to Disneyland.
Will need parents to organize.
All students are invited.

Disneyland Senior Trip ( Thursday May 26th – May 27th) :

Bus check-in 7:00 am, buses leave by 7:30 am. Return at 6:00am on Friday.
No open containers, water and treats provided

Senior Survey (Due by Friday, May 27, English Classes):
Survey will be given to seniors in their English Class.
This is an obligation all seniors need to complete for graduation.

Final Transcript:
Seniors must request that their final transcript be sent. Seniors can list their college/university in the Senior Survey they will complete in their English classroom. If you have questions, please email Melissa Shaw at mshaw@syvuhsd.org

Senior Textbook Return Day ( Tuesday, May 31, 7:30 – 3:45 pm SYHS Library):
Students can return all school related materials.
Fees and fines can be paid in the business office.
All obligations, fees, fines, books, devices, and survey must be completed.

Mandatory Commencement Practice (Thursday, June 2, 2:00 pm Stadium):
All students who plan to participate in commencement must attend
All obligations must be satisfied, and debts paid prior to the graduation practice
Allow 1½ hours – Athletic Field

Diploma Pick-Up (Thursday, June 2, 3:30 pm Stadium):
Seniors will pick up their diploma after graduation practice.
Pick up will be at the Home Ticket Booth.
All obligations must be satisfied, and debts paid prior to diploma pick up.

Graduation Ceremony Decorations (Friday, June 3, AM):
School only provides lattice/banners/stage
Senior Graduation Planning committee organizes donations/set up.

Graduation Day: (Friday, June 3, 2:00 pm New Gym): (Ceremony starts at 4:00 pm)
Seniors need to be in the new gym at 2:00pm, dressed appropriately (slacks, collared shirts, and dress shoes, skirts or dresses with dress shoes or sandals, NO Flip-flops)
Seniors may decorate the top of their caps (must be tasteful and appropriate)
One graduation lei is permitted, but hand-carried bouquets are not.
Wind is an issue, secure your cap and gold stole (bring lots of bobby pins)
Students should bring no other items to check-in as nothing may be hand-carried into the ceremony and nothing may be left in the gym. Do not leave anything in the gym.
Safe & Sober Grad Night After Party (Friday, June 3 to Saturday, June 4 ):

Tickets on sale starting March 30. Purchase early for more raffle tickets. $60 includes everything! Scholarships are available by seeing Ms. Aichinger in the Principals Office.
